National Cheesecake Day

Cheesecake ranks at the top of my list as an all American comfort food/dessert. Just a small slice packs a huge punch, and to describe it’s delectable flavors, is numerous with a variable rainbow of choices. QSRmagazine reports The Cheesecake Factory is honoring National Cheesecake Day, by giving guests who dine in on July 30, 2010,the opportunity to enjoy a slice half off. In addition, is the introduction of their newest Reese’s (R) Peanut Butter Chocolate Cake Cheesecake which will support Feeding America, the nation’s largest hunger relief organization.

…With the introduction of the Reese’s Peanut Butter Chocolate Cake Cheesecake, The Cheesecake Factory is continuing its partnership with Feeding America. The Cheesecake Factory will donate the equivalent of 3.5 million meals through proceeds from each slice sold. Feeding America is the nation’s largest hunger-relief organization, which helps to feed more than 37 million hungry Americans each year. The Cheesecake Factory has donated more than $1.2 million to Feeding America over the past two years, and will continue to support this important cause with several activities planned during Hunger Action Month through September…

To say the least, this is a “sweet” idea! July 30, 2010 is just days from now and falls on a Friday. “So, you may have to add an additional regiment to your daily exercise routine because of a few added calories, but in the end…it’s worth it!” “Happy National Cheesecake Day!”
